During the Career Fair, candidates will have the opportunity to speak directly with businesses and complete job applications onsite. An employability specialist will also be onsite to enroll attendees in training services, and a financial aid outreach specialist will assist future college students with planning, financial aid and technical educational options.
The Career Fair will feature over 20 employers, and businesses participating in this event (as of November 6), include: Solano County Transit (Sol Trans), Vallejo Nissan, B&G Tire of Vallejo, Penske Truck Leasing, Mikes Auto Body, Michael’s Transportation, Aegean Tire, Fairfield Tire Center, Michael’s Transportation, Express Employment Professionals, Crown Lift Trucks Sacramento, Mercedes Benz and Sprinter of Fairfield, Ace Automotive, Triton Truck Repair Inc., Recology, Marin Automotive (Fairfax, CA), Spee Dee Oil Change (Napa), Good Guys Tire and Auto, Car Max Fairfield, Toyota Vallejo, and Vaca Valley Auto Parts who will also be representing Fairfield Suisun Unified Transportation, Solano Mall Firestone and Jim Hansen Automotive.
The employers attending will highlight over 40 open job positions, ranging from entry level to highly skilled. Positons include, but not limited to: Auto/ Diesel Mechanics, Forklift Technicians, Automotive Painters, Parts Technician, Maintenance Mechanics, Technician I & II, Dealer Trade Driver, Light-Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic, Fluid Services Technician, Entry Level Diesel Technician, Para Transit Driver, Road Supervisor, Master Technician Apprentice, Cashier and Customer Service Rep., and a range of support positions. Support positions will mainly be offered by dealership employers and Recology of Vallejo.
