VALLEJO, CA- The City of Vallejo will be hosting an informational session on its efforts to solicit organizations to provide long-term operation, maintenance and management of the City-owned Mare Island Regional Park Lands.
Thursday, September 5
6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
John F. Kennedy Library, Joseph Room

Vallejo residents and stakeholders are invited to attend the informal meeting. City staff will be on hand to answer questions and address community concerns, and attendees are encouraged to participate in an open discussion.
Following City Council direction on May 28, 2019 to solicit a request for qualifications (view staff report here), City staff is in the process of preparing the package to be released that would identify an organization best suited to provide the long-term operation, maintenance and management of the City-owned Mare Island Regional Park Lands.
The City envisions protection of the park’s natural resources, maximize recreation and education opportunities to the public, maintain operating hours that will keep the park open to the public, safety and security of visitors and independent of General Fund subsides.
The meeting is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., at the John F. Kennedy Library, Joseph Room located at 505 Santa Clara Street, Vallejo, CA 94590.
