CURRENT NEWS

The Vallejo Police Department is cordially inviting you to attend our very first “Virtual Community Day” on Saturday, November 14th from 10:00am – 12:00pm. The event serves as a platform to host “Courageous Conversations” and re-establish positive and meaningful relationships with members of our community. The day will also bring greater awareness to the programs, services and resources available to the public.

“We must continue to cultivate an environment where our community feels safe to partner with us,” Chief of Police Shawny Williams stated. “I’ve been fortunate to meet with many who have a heart to see Vallejo succeed and as a department, we’re excited to continue this effort.”

Attendees will hear from City officials, community leaders, officers, and members of VPD’s Operation P.E.A.C.E. Community Taskforce (OPCT) who were integral in planning the event. Panelists will cover a series of topics including:

  • Youth Outreach & Development
  • Mental Health Awareness & Advocacy
  • Crime Prevention & Intervention
  • Social & Human Services
  • Nutrition, Health & Wellness
  • Neighborhood Revitalization

We invite our community to join this discussion, share their ideas, and join in the effort to build lasting partnerships. Click here to register via Zoom or join us on Facebook live!
