CURRENT NEWS

The Vallejo Chamber of Commerce, Touro University of California and Medic Ambulance are excited to announce the Chamber’s third annual Women in Business Conference, focusing on Equality in the Workplace.  According to the non-profit Equality Can’t Wait, it will take 208 years to achieve gender equality in the United States.  We invite you to join us for lunch and an afternoon discussing some of the things we can do today to close that gap.

Keynote speaker Cheryl Hurd from NBC Bay Area will kick off the discussion during the lunch provided by Touro.  In addition to Cheryl, we will also hear from:

  • Shana Daum, VP of Public Affairs & Community Relations for the San Francisco Giants
  • Shiyama Clunie, Public Affairs Director for Kaiser Permanente
  • Ophelia B. Basgal, Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley-Turner Center for Housing Innovation,
  • Paola Garcia, Investment Manager at Goldman Sachs
  • Krishna Abrams, District Attorney of Solano County
  • Dr. Judy Castro, Assistant Vice President of Student Experience at John F Kennedy University’s Hispanic Serving Institution and
  • Gina Synder, Retired School Board Commissioner, Vallejo Unified School District

Attendees will leave the conference motivated, inspired and connected to other business women in the Solano County community!
