VALLEJO, CA – The City of Vallejo is hosting its last of four scheduled redistricting hearings on Tuesday, February 8 at 8:00 p.m. Community members are invited to virtually attend and provide input about the draft maps submitted for Council’s consideration as the City’s final district map.
Vallejo residents can virtually attend the hearing, which will be taking place during the regular City Council Meeting by using this Zoom link or calling (669) 900-6833 and enter Meeting ID: 914 0075 0676.
At this hearing, City Council may select a map that will define the City’s district boundaries for the next decade. The way district lines are drawn could change which district residents are located in, which will impact who residents can vote for to make important local government decisions on their behalf – including which local laws get passed and how City dollars are spent in the future.
Throughout the redistricting process, the City sought public feedback at its hearings, through its workshops and on its dedicated redistricting website: MapVallejo.org. The City also conducted presentations for local community groups and organizations to share information about the redistricting process and ways the community can get involved.
